Kirk Gauthier In many ways, I’m bummed I’m not old enough to have experienced the psychedelic rock movement of the late ‘60s, but, fortunately for me, neither are the members of Las Robertas. However, you wouldn’t know it listening to this album. Its entire vibe is steeped in that heady, sunny California vibe where the hot sun is beaming down on you so you can be baked both inside and out. This album is like being in a go-go club while the acid starts to kick in and the room starts to tilt. Groovy! Favorite track: I Wanna Be Like You.

Las Robertas, one of the most emblematic bands of Costa Rica, is back with the Rogue Wave Records re-release their third full length “Waves of The New” set to coincide with the band's performance at the 2019 Coachella Festival. Like the title suggests this record brings a new wave for the band full of noise pop, Psychedelia, and tones that live between the 70s and our modern world.
