Coraxio Seems like desert surf is a thing. I love the sense of space on this album. Some moments here and there remind me of the Shadows but that might be just me.
A classic, and actually my favorite from Yawning Man.

©ough©ool Some tripped out instrumental desert psych rock. As the bio stated, you have elements of surf & middle eastern influence, which makes for a different trip than you typically find, but not at all a bad thing. Favorite track: Split Tooth Thunder.

Logen Ninefingers Of course, everyone knows it now, Yawning Man are the godfathers of the Desert Rock scene, having formed in California, 1986. On this 2005 LP (now re-issued by Ripple Music), they eschew the fuzz prefered by their proteges for a softer insturmental approach. The reverbed tone of guitarist Gary Arce is highliy distinctive (surf-like, though he states it is directly inspired by Bauhaus' Daniel Ash) and he plays a crucial part in forming these canyon-sized, skewed melodies of languid Psychedelia. Favorite track: Perpetual Oyster.

Colin M. Dreamlike desert rock that draws from all the deserts of the world, not just the well worn Mojave grooves. Favorite track: Buffalo Chips.

An amazing album 👍🏻 It took me a while to get into Boss Keloid’s groove. I knew intellectually that it was my kinda music but I didn’t take to Melted On The Inch like I thought I would. I think listening to lots of modern jazz limbered me up! This is really complicated prog rock with heavy ass guitars added for street cred. I’m so happy that anyone might consider this band cool. They’re fucking cool to me but music like this has been vilified in the past. All hail the new Gentle Giant! Crinklechips
