Kirk Gauthier How do Plainride just keep getting better and better with each song? The buildup to this, their third album, was a long one; they started teasing us with singles back in January of 2021. But even those teasers were nothing compared to the full record. From the moment “Fire in the Sky” hits, you know these aren’t the same guys who hit us with Return of the Jackalope eight years ago. This is a seasoned, more mature Plainride, and their sound is far from done evolving. So buckle up, buttercup! Favorite track: Fire In The Sky.

A Becker The opening riff of this record sounds like the soundtrack to a 1974 movie called Up N' Smoke, about a pair of brothers who have to smuggle a truck full of marijuana up from Mexico in order to save the family farm.
The riffs keep on coming as Plainride rocks out from track to track. I really appreciate the broad pallet these guys brought to the writing process. There's a song for just about any mood here and the shifting tempos and energy keeps the listener fully engaged from start to finish.
Favorite track: S.O.T.U..

elhater This sounds like if Appalooza, The Budos Band and Primus were involved in crazy music breeding experiment, and the outcome was this expectacular album. Favorite track: Fire In The Sky.

Justin@BlindMouse Funky blues tinted freakiness. This is anything but a plain ride from our flight crew, Plainride!! Wearing their weirdness on their sleeves creates an album that is fresh yet traditional. Its like the RHCP gave Kenny Wayne Shepard some acid, whiskey and spicy hot wings, along with a killer fuzz pedal and watched things unfold.

Sylvy Plainride gives groove a whole new dimension with their raw, funky blues vibes and funny quirks. Discovery of the year for me! Thanks, Rippple Music! Favorite track: S.O.T.U..
