Dave Aftandilian Immersive, epic fantasy-themed, female-fronted, bluesy doom goodness. These are the sort of crunchy, thick, groove-heavy tunes—leavened with gentler, faerie fire-limned passages—that I imagine younger oaks might play via chemical impulses along their roots while the elders are sleeping. Then the forest’s guardian dryad adds her powerful, husky vocal blessing to the proceedings, here voiced by Andrea. Great stuff! Favorite track: Valley of the Mystics.

An amazing album 👍🏻 It took me a while to get into Boss Keloid’s groove. I knew intellectually that it was my kinda music but I didn’t take to Melted On The Inch like I thought I would. I think listening to lots of modern jazz limbered me up! This is really complicated prog rock with heavy ass guitars added for street cred. I’m so happy that anyone might consider this band cool. They’re fucking cool to me but music like this has been vilified in the past. All hail the new Gentle Giant! Crinklechips
